Spirit of Staithes, Blyth

The artwork consist of what appears to be seven random gold panels fixed to tangled steel arms rising out of the river.

Perspective is utilised to stunning effect as the apparently random panels come together when viewed from a specific angle to form the shape of a train pulling a coal truck commemorating the areas coal mining tradition.

Each of the panels are illuminated with an Urbis Focal 150 watt CDM-T narrow beam luminaires with the steel arms highlighted with 6 No wide beam versions of the above with blue filters to add some colour and interest to the scheme.
