Steve Edwards joined the team at Stainton Lighting Design Services in 2010 as a Lighting Consultant and has since progressed through the company to Design Manager for the Specialist/Architectural division of the company.
Previous to this Steve worked for Urbis Lighting, initially as an Applications Engineer in 1999 and progressed through the ranks to Regional Support Manager overseeing all lighting designs undertaken in the Northern region.
Steve has recently completed work on major projects Durham Cathedral/Castle and the Toffee Factory in Newcastle. He is currently working on the last phase of Stockton High Street regeneration which features a state of art 35 DMX universe lighting system.
He has been an affiliate of the Institution of Lighting Professionals (ILP) since 1999 and is currently working towards full membership. Steve is the current vice chairman for the North East region and is working towards IEng status with the Engineering Council via the ILP.
He has also delivered numerous technical papers on subjects such as advances in LED technology and design of lighting installations.
