Joe Wray

Joe joined SLDS in April 2014 from Durham County Council Highways and Street Lighting Department.

Having being involved in the practical installation and site supervision of numerous projects, progression into the Asset Management team of the authority brought new challenges. This included organising maintenance schedules, producing estimates and bills of quantities, issuing works orders and drawings, inspection and adoption of Section 38 and 278 agreement schemes and updating detailed inventory records along with liaison between client stakeholders and private sector contractors bringing a wealth of experience to the team.

Among the various schemes and projects Joe was involved with during his time with the authority he thinks the external floodlighting of the World Heritage site at Durham Castle and Cathedral are probably the most challenging but interesting schemes.

Joe is currently supporting the Lighting Design Engineers involved in the Stockton Borough Council LED Lantern Replacement Programme and Column Replacement project.

Since joining the company Joe has become an Associate member of the Institute of Lighting Professionals.
